It was serendipity that I met Art's daughter, who happens to drive the same car I do. While we were waiting at a school bus stop, I explained the trouble with my car's AC and the challenge I'd had finding a mechanic who seemed to really know how to fix it. She invited me to try the family shop in Needham. I drove 30 minutes to their garage because I had so much confidence that she knew what she was talking about...and I was not disappointed. Art's fixed the problem, and charged me significantly less than the other estimates I'd received. Additionally, Art could have changed or recharged the freon, as all the others said they'd do, and I wouldn't have known the difference. Instead, Art patiently explained twice why I did not need it! Next week I'm travelling back there for a different problem because I trust them to take good care of my car and me! Only problem is that they're so good, you may have to wait to get an appointment....
Art's automotive is a jem. Art, the owner personally inspects the work, and his son/ daughter have worked there in the past helping out at the desk, et. I've been going to Art's for the last 4 years after several Needham locals recommended them. My Subaru wagon, my husband's Toyota, my friend's VW wagon, and on and on... my friends all love Arts! Art will tell you & show you more than you ever wanted to know about what's happening with your car. When I bring my car in, he always gives me a quote before working, and at times when repairs cost more than he quoted, he was quick with calling me to let me know the cost difference prior to starting any work. Friendly, honest, fair prices, and family run business? you don't see this kind of place anymore!
Art's Automotive is a gem. I recommend them to everybody I know. My family has been going to them for years. Top-notch customer service, quick turnaround time and very reasonable prices.
He's in high demand these days, so you may have to wait a week to get any repairs done, but it's quality work at more than fair prices.
This is the only place I will take my car. It is done right at a perfectly fair price.
