Our family has used Chestnut Street Animal Hospital for at least 18 years. They have taken care of the health needs of two of our very loved dogs. Our first one was a little female cocker spaniel. We had her 8 yrs and she suffered from an autoimmune disease so we had many visits there. She developed liver cancer and when it was time to say good by, as anyone who has been through this would tell you, it is heart wrenching. Dr. MEDLEY offered to come to our home so that our family could say good by to our beloved dog in her own bed. We will always be greatful for the compassion shown to our family. A few days later they sent a kind card of sympathy to us. They are the best!
Got a pet in Needham? This place will take care of you. (and your pet)
Great with my rabbit! I brought him there for his neuter and the doctors and nurses were kind and professional. Will be going back for any other checkups!
This office is wonderful. In a world of automation and a lack of customer service, this vet clinic stands out. They are kind, helpful, and trustworthy. I would take my elderly cat of 17 years regularly for checkups and they were great. When she suddenly died, they were compassionate and understanding. I even received an incredibly kind handwritten note from Dr. Kelsey herself. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants the best for their pet!
Dr. Kelsey is a horrible vet! I took my dog in to Chestnut Street Animal Hospital because he had injured his leg. Dr. Kelsey thought it was not an injury, but instead Lyme Disease. She charged us $52.50 for a test we didn't authorize. They didn't x-ray our dog until 2 in the afternoon, even though we dropped him off at 8 am because the didn't take us seriously. Finally after paying an additional $45 to have the x-rays read stat, at 4 pm we were told that the dog had in fact had a fractured tibia. They sent us over to Angell Memorial to have the dog splinted but only after I payed the bill. She also padded the bill with $70 for a physical exam we didn't ask for and $29.40 for half day hospitalization which wasn't needed if they did the x-ray when they should have! I will never go back there again!!!
